Phase 1 Orthodontic Treatment – Space Creation & Alignment

This short orthodontic treatment involves the use of Align 12 to create space and improve alignment for the permanent teeth that have already come through. The focus is on correcting the rotation of a front tooth and making room for other permanent teeth to grow properly. Not all the permanent teeth are out yet, so this is an early, limited treatment to guide proper development.

Phase 1 Crossbite

A crossbite between teeth 21 and 12 was corrected after the eruption of the permanent teeth. Fixed orthodontic brackets were placed on all the permanent teeth to align the bite and support proper tooth positioning

Crossbite and Misalignment of Upper Front Tooth

The upper left lateral incisor (tooth 22) is in a crossbite and not properly aligned with the rest of the teeth. This means it bites down incorrectly against the lower teeth, which can affect the bite, cause wear on the teeth, and  need orthodontic treatment to correct the position.

Correcting a Deep Bite and Class II Malocclusion with Expansion and Alignment

Class II malocclusion, also known as an overbite, is when the upper teeth sit too far forward compared to the lower teeth. In this case, the patient also has a deep bite, where the upper front teeth cover too much of the lower front teeth when biting down.

To treat this, we use expansion to widen the upper jaw and create more space for proper alignment. Orthodontic treatment then focuses on aligning the teeth and correcting the bite to improve both function and appearance.

This treatment helps to balance the bite, protect the teeth from wear, and create a healthier, more confident smile.

Treating Class III Malocclusion with Crowding – Extractions and Alignment

In this case, the patient has Class II malocclusion with crowding and limited space for the permanent teeth. To create room for proper alignment, the orthodontic plan includes the extraction of teeth 15, 25, 34, and 44. Once the extractions are done, braces  are used to align the remaining teeth, improving the bite, spacing, and overall appearance of the smile.

This approach helps prevent future crowding, allows the teeth to fit correctly, and creates a healthy, balanced bite.

Correcting Class II Malocclusion with Excess Space and Crossbite

In this case, the patient has Class II malocclusion with excess space in the teeth and a crossbite of tooth 22 (upper left lateral incisor). Orthodontic treatment focuses on closing the extra space and aligning the teeth properly, including correcting the crossbite.

This treatment improves the bite, ensures the teeth fit together correctly, and creates a balanced, healthy, and attractive smile.

Class II Malocclusion with Crowding – Twin Block Treatment

This patient has Class II malocclusion with a shortage of space for the upper canines (teeth 13 and 23). To correct this, a Twin Block appliance is used to guide jaw growth and improve bite alignment. Once sufficient space is created, orthodontic treatment continues with braces to properly align the teeth and ensure a balanced, functional, and attractive smile.

Class II Malocclusion – Pre-Expansion and Crossbite Correction

This patient has Class II malocclusion along with a crossbite, where one or more upper teeth bite inside the lower teeth. Before full orthodontic treatment, a pre-expansion phase is used to widen the upper jaw and create enough space for proper alignment. After expansion, braces or aligners are used to correct the crossbite and align the teeth, improving the bite, function, and overall appearance of the smile.

Class II Malocclusion with Open Bite and Crowding

This patient has Class II malocclusion with an open bite, where the upper and lower front teeth do not touch when biting, along with crowding and limited space for the permanent teeth. To create room and allow proper alignment, the treatment plan includes the extraction of teeth 15, 25, 35, and 44. After the extractions, braces or aligners are used to close gaps, align the teeth, and correct the bite, resulting in a healthy, functional, and balanced smile.
